Day 01: Arrive Jorhat – Ferry to Majuli
Upon arrival at Jorhat Airport, meet your local representative and transfer to the ferry terminal. Cross the mighty Brahmaputra River by ferry to Majuli, the world's largest inhabited river island and an important centre of Assamese culture and spirituality. Surrounded by wetlands and traditional villages, Majuli offers a peaceful introduction to rural Northeast India. Overnight stay – Majuli

Day 02: Majuli – Monasteries & Mishing Tribal Villages
Spend the day exploring the unique heritage of Majuli. Visit centuries-old Vaishnavite Satras, where monks preserve classical dance, devotional music and religious traditions dating back to the 15th century. Continue to Samaguri Satra, famous for its handcrafted masks used in traditional performances. Later, visit nearby Mishing tribal villages, where you'll discover stilt houses, handloom weaving, local farming practices and the warm hospitality of one of Assam's largest indigenous communities. Day 03: Majuli – Jorhat – Kohima (Distance: Approx. 230 km | Driving Time: 7–8 Hours)
After an early ferry crossing back to Jorhat, drive through scenic tea plantations and forested hills into Nagaland. Arrive in Kohima, the cultural heart of the Naga Hills, known for its rich traditions and breathtaking mountain scenery. Overnight stay – Kohima

Day 04: Kohima – Naga Heritage
Explore Kohima's rich cultural and historical heritage. Visit the Kohima War Cemetery, commemorating one of World War II's most significant battles in Asia. Continue to Kisama Heritage Village, the venue of the internationally renowned Hornbill Festival, showcasing the traditions of Nagaland's tribes. Day 05: Kohima – Imphal (Distance: Approx. 140 km | Driving Time: 4 Hours)
Drive through beautiful mountain landscapes to Imphal, the capital of Manipur. Visit historic Kangla Fort, once the seat of the Meitei kings, followed by Shree Govindajee Temple and the vibrant Ima Keithel (Women's Market), a remarkable market run exclusively by women for generations. Day 06: Imphal – Loktak Lake & Floating National Park
Travel to the spectacular Loktak Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India, famous for its floating islands known as phumdis. Enjoy panoramic views from Sendra Island before visiting Keibul Lamjao National Park, the world's only floating national park and the last natural habitat of the endangered Sangai Deer, Manipur's state animal. Continue to Moirang, home to the INA Memorial dedicated to India's independence movement. Overnight stay – Imphal

Day 07: Imphal – Silchar – Aizawl (Distance: Approx. 450 km | Driving Time: 9–10 Hours)
Travel through the lush forests and rolling hills of the Barak Valley via Silchar before climbing into the scenic highlands of Mizoram. Day 08: Aizawl – Discover Mizo Culture
Explore Aizawl, one of India's most attractive hill capitals. Visit Solomon's Temple, the Mizoram State Museum, and the bustling Bara Bazar, where local communities trade fresh produce, bamboo handicrafts and traditional textiles. Day 09: Reiek Heritage Village Excursion (Distance: Approx. 30 km | Driving Time: 1 Hour each way)
Take a scenic drive to Reiek Heritage Village, where beautifully reconstructed traditional Mizo houses provide an insight into local architecture and daily life. Meet local artisans, learn about Mizo customs and enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
