Day 01: Arrive Guwahati – Nameri National Park (Distance: Approx. 220 km | Driving Time: 5–6 Hours)
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, drive to Nameri National Park, nestled at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. The park is renowned for its rich birdlife, evergreen forests and scenic setting along the Jia Bhoroli River. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a nature walk or relax amidst the tranquil surroundings. Overnight stay – Nameri

Day 02: Nameri – Dirang (Distance: Approx. 200 km | Driving Time: 6–7 Hours)
After breakfast, enter Arunachal Pradesh and drive through spectacular mountain scenery to Dirang. En route, pass through forested valleys and traditional settlements before visiting Dirang Monastery, the historic Dirang Dzong and local orchards. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, Dirang offers a peaceful introduction to the Eastern Himalayas. Overnight stay – Dirang

Day 03: Dirang – Tawang (Distance: Approx. 140 km | Driving Time: 6–7 Hours)
Today's spectacular drive crosses the legendary Sela Pass (4,170 m), offering breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks and alpine lakes. Stop at the beautiful Sela Lake before visiting the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Continue through dramatic mountain landscapes to Tawang. Overnight stay – Tawang

Day 04: Tawang
Spend the day exploring this historic Himalayan town. Visit the magnificent Tawang Monastery, founded in the 17th century and home to hundreds of monks. Continue to the Tawang War Memorial, the Craft Centre, local markets and enjoy panoramic views across the surrounding mountains while learning about the traditions of the Monpa community. Day 05: Excursion to Bum La Pass & Sangetsar Lake (subject to permits and road conditions)
Drive to the high-altitude Bum La Pass, located on the India–China border, passing spectacular mountain scenery. Visit the enchanting Sangetsar Lake (Madhuri Lake), created after an earthquake and surrounded by towering peaks. This full-day excursion offers some of the most dramatic landscapes in the Eastern Himalayas. Overnight stay – Tawang

Day 06: Tawang – Dirang (Distance: Approx. 140 km | Driving Time: 6–7 Hours)
Retrace your route across Sela Pass, enjoying fresh perspectives of the alpine scenery before returning to Dirang. The afternoon is free to relax or explore the traditional village. Overnight stay – Dirang

Day 07: Dirang – Bomdila (Distance: Approx. 45 km | Driving Time: 1.5 Hours)
Drive to Bomdila, a charming hill town known for its peaceful atmosphere and magnificent Himalayan views. Visit Bomdila Monastery, browse local handicraft centres and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Overnight stay – Bomdila

Day 08: Bomdila – Guwahati (Distance: Approx. 340 km | Driving Time: 8–9 Hours)
Descend through the Eastern Himalayan foothills to Guwahati, passing picturesque villages, forests and tea gardens along the way. Overnight stay – Guwahati

Day 09: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward flight, taking home unforgettable memories of the Eastern Himalayas, ancient Buddhist monasteries, vibrant indigenous cultures and some of India's most spectacular mountain landscapes.
